Scout event!!!

My brother is a scout leader, who will be running a scout camp in the summer near Merthyr Tydfil / Brecon Beacons.

He would like to do an 8 hour event for his scouts (aged 14-18) to introduce them to larp and to give them a flavour.

The day in question is the 2nd August 2014.

Is anyone free to come along and help destroy the minds of some future leaders of the land?

The concept is bring your own kit and try to spread the bug.

Is the idea to make it an "official" H&H event? Would he be looking to borrow some club kit?

Not an official event, as it would be geared purely around the scouts (so no opportunity to play and no character development... more just beat up the children and try to produce some atmosphere).

The borrowing of kit from the club however is tempting, but I've not broached the subject with anyone yet.
I think my brother may aim to rent some kit/armour from the club, but no weapons as he expects the scouts to destroy any weapons (they will be making american style doffer swords and basic IC kit during the camp on the run up to this forest run).

I do have the happy expectation to be able to weigh down one person in full chain and plate, then make them run to safety...

It's 204 miles from my house, but if there's somebody living nearby who's also going to be monstering who I can stay with the night before... and the night after... then I should be able to corrupt a group of boy scouts... Believe it or not, I am a proud recipient of The Chief Scout's award and everything... Shows what great things scouting can help you achieve...

You can camp with the scouts.

When I say 'with the scouts' I mean slightly separated from the scouts, depending on your own restraining order's details.

The restraining order says I'm not even allowed to BE camp near small boys anymore... Let alone pitch a tent...
