The mission (Plane Sailing) was to follow a hidden homing device on fiends that had stollen the empowered golden head and crown.

We were given an artefact that could tell us where the fiends had last teleported to, and how they did it.   

As part of our investigation we came across some ancient manuscript that mentioned a Lord Drax who courted undead to act as slaves and how the House of Light brought forces from many areas together to battle and defeat them.  In particular a crown that attracted undead, and forces of light to annihilate the undead.  Lord Drax escaped initially, but using a powerful magical ring that stopped him from escaping he was eventually defeated. 

As part of the plane shifting we had to use hideous forces of darkness and air for two of the jumps to follow the perpetrators, with the plane of air being particularly discombobulating, I am still struggling to get over it.  We had discovered that the perpetrators who had taken the skull and crown were Siggrin Tortha Skar Sylvani elves.  As we travelled to where they last travelled to, we were always a step behind them - although when we did catch up with them they had been slain by forest monsters.

The plane of nature was very hospitable to us and set out a feast to replenish us.

We eventually followed the skull and crown onto the plane of lost souls - where, after fighting several undead, we managed to retrieve the skull and crown.  Shortly afterwards we were welcomed into a Lord’s house.  We only found out who the lord was when he arrived in the room - the 3,000 year old Lord Drax who was a powerful vampire, and his children.  He coveted the skull and crown and unlocked them so the Queen Rachael who had vanquished him 3 millennia ago, was brought back in chains (it was her skull that we had been chasing).  She broke her chains and summoned an Angel of Retribution that smite Lord Drax.  They gave us the instructions and tools to go to his grave site and kill him before he rose again from his coffin.

We found his burial chamber, defeated the undead protecting him and the djinn that was within him, and I personally drove the sword into his heart that vanquished him from being able to use that coffin.

The Queen Racheal wanted to ascend with the crown through the plane of good as the plane would be able to remove all undead enchantments on the crown and she would be at peace.  We felt obliged to do her bidding and escorted her and the crown to the plane of good and saw her ascend just as we left the plane.

Overall no party member died (lost a resurrection chance), though we did use several elixirs.

With my recently acquired combat spells I was over enthusiastic in one of our encounters and tried to cast one too many spells.  I do request to understand what I can do to address the slight flaw that has come onto my focus.
